Retirement Work Product Set

Definition

The retirement set is the cohesive set of work products that may be produced during the retirement activity.

Work Products

The OPF repository contains the following set of predefined retirement work products:

• Retirement Plan,
  which documents an endeavor’s plans for performing the retirement task.
• Retirement Notification,
  which is used to notify stakeholders about an imminent retirement.

Guidelines

• Different endeavors require different processes, which in turn will require different retirement work products.
• Every endeavor does not require the production of every retirement work product.
• Select only those retirement work products that are appropriate for the endeavor.
• Selected retirement work products should be:
  • Relevant.
  • Useful.
  • Usable.
  • Cost-effective.
